The satay seller admit that he fear his stall would be stealth if he run away, thus he decided to stay and business as usual. He had been selling satay in this spot since 1974.

Terrorist Failure: Jakarta fear more about domestic burglar rather than ISIS terrorist.

2. The Handsome Police Officer Story

Instead of finding out who are the attackers, Jakarta citizen, and Indonesian netizen, care more about finding out who was the handsome and fashionable officer that involved in the scene. Quotation from social media "Indonesian police (are) fashionable. they kick the terrorist's ass with their Adidas camo and Gucci sneakers! (And coach bag too?) damn. American have fashion police.. Indonesian police are most fashionable in the entire universe."

The story goes that the officer stormed the site in casual suit, no bullet proof costume needed. Again, Kompas.com put this as headline.

Instead of avoiding the sites as listed in the message, netizen comes to them because of curiosity and solidarity acts. This broadcast become free advertisement for them as many do not know the restaurant location before hand. The restaurant and shopping mall enjoy boast of popularity after the bomb attack.

Garuda Airlines Cancel Flights to 4 Airports Due to Gunung Raung Eruptions

Gunung Raung eruptions this week have force shut down four airports in the Eastern Java, Bali and Lombok island. Gunung Raung is in the middle of East Java and its volcanic activity is in dangerous status right now. All airlines, domestic and international has diverted flights because of this event. Indonesian domestic airlines includes; Garuda Airlines, Sriwijaya, Lion Air etc.

Garuda Airlines respond to Gunung Raung eruptions by cancelling all flights to affected airports, is one of airline affected by this event. Official announcement have been posted at Garuda Airlines website, in Bahasa Indonesia :

Sehubungan dengan dampak dari erupsi Gunung Raung, Bondowoso, Jawa Timur sehingga ditutupnya 4 (empat) Bandara yaitu Bandara Ngurah Rai Denpasar, Bandara Belimbingsari Banyuwangi, Bandara Notohadinegoro Jember dan Bandara Lombok, maka berkaitan dengan erupsi tersebut Garuda Indonesia untuk sementara tidak mengoperasikan penerbangan dari dan ke 4 (empat) Bandara tersebut pada hari ini, Jum’at (10/07).

Ebola Suspect Reported in Madiun Indonesia

Indonesia is on high alert after their strongest Ebola-suspect case reported, this afternoon October 31st 2014. The case was reported in Madiun city, East Java province, 664,7 km from Jakarta. This is actually the fourth recent case found from Indonesia, the highest populated country in South East Asia. All previous three suspect were tested negative.

The alert put on high when a foreign worker (known as TKI - Tenaga Kerja Indonesia) that come back from work from Nigeria. At the moment, suspect was under guarantine zone in dr Soedono General Hospital, Madiun. Suspect experienced similar symptom such as in malaria, high fever, followed by vomit and diarrhea.

From official, expert laboratory analyst  Professor Tjandra from related health agency said that his lab is ready to accept blood test from this Madiun-suspect. If tested positive, this can be the first serious Ebola virus (Ebola hemorrhagic fever (EHF)) found, after global outbreak in Africa and Europe. The newly form government under President Joko Widodo will wait anxiously to hear the result by now.

MH17 Crash down in Ukraine

To added more misery for Malaysian Airlines, in the evening of July 17th, 2014, the world had learned that MH17 had been crashed down in Ukraine eastern border area. The plane flight route was from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.

Malaysia Airlines senior vice president Huib Gorter said there were at least 154 Dutch, 27 Australians, 23 Malaysians, 11 Indonesians, six Britons, four Germans, four Belgians, three Phillippinos and one Canadian aboard the Boeing 777 jet.

There were a further 47 passengers whose nationality was not yet known. All the 15 flight crew were Malaysian.
